For specialised tunnel construction and shaft earthworks, sister company SU Underground offers the largest fleet of tunnel and shaft excavators in Australia for hire. Much of our equipment has been engineered and designed in house to perform specialised underground civil tasks, these include pioneering the development of the Short Boom and Upside Down Boom to enable excavators to operate more efficiently in confined spaces and tackle difficult ceiling works.

In addition to supplying short booms and upside down booms used for hammering ceilings, SU underground is able to provide a range of unique attachments for underground works including diamond saws, tungsten saws and twin headers through to standard equipment such as skid steers, loaders, dump trucks and dozers.

SU Underground's team of operators is fully trained and experienced in all aspects of tunnelling and shaft construction.

SU Underground combined with EA Hire Equipment provides a complete packages for works both above and underground. Clients are able to package both EA Hire Equipment and SU Underground's services on wet or dry hire or a combination of both on flexible hire contracts.
